sustainability and the Plastic packaging tax
To assist in the global bid to reduce plastic waste within the supply chain, Prisma Colour Ltd has been actively working towards becoming a more sustainable business, regularly reviewing our own plastic footprint.
Whilst Prisma Colour Ltd does not manufacture plastic packaging ourselves, we have been proactive with our packaging suppliers in an attempt to move, where we can, from virgin single-use plastic packaging, to a 30% recycled alternative. We will continue this, to ensure we remain compliant within the industry.

Please see below a list of commonly asked questions:
Who is liable for PPT?
Liability sits primarily at one of two parties in the supply chain, depending on the source of the packaging. For plastic packaging imported into the UK, the importer would be liable. For plastic packaging manufactured in the UK , the first business who manufactured the finished plastic packaging component would be liable. None of which applies to Prisma Colour Ltd.
Can you confirm you have registered and will account for PPT for packaging where you are the importer?
Prisma Colour do not at present import any plastic packaging that is below 30% recycled and therefore do not meet the criteria required to register with HMRC for Plastic Packaging Tax.
Can you supply the specification for packaging used on the products that you supply us?
Yes, we can supply this as and when requested.
Through innovation and persistence, Prisma Colour Ltd will continue its effort in creating sustainability for the future of our company, customers and supply chain.
