Location: High Peak, SK22 1AH

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Start rate £9.00 rising to £9.37 after 3 months, rising to £9.75 after 1 year.

Overtime: Any hours over 40 paid at time and a half.

Job Description

Established since 1991, Prisma Colour Ltd is a highly successful additive and colour concentrate manufacturer located in the High Peak, Derbyshire. We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated production operative to join our Production Team. The successful candidate(s) will responsible for operating machinery and manufacturing plastics products to acceptable and defined quality standards. Full training will be provided. Please note that this is a demanding role, which requires attention to details and good housekeeping.

As a safety conscious employer we encourage good practice and adherence to procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The Candidate will have ideally will have worked within a manufacturing environment, have processing experience, capable of getting through a high volume of work and basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Job Role

The role includes;

  • Lifting and manual work
  • Operating the line and packing the finished products
  • Ensuring the line is efficiently changed when required
  • Performing quality inspection test to ensure the suitability of the finished product to defined standards.
  • Finished goods labelling, packing and preparation
  • Warehousing duties including storage of finished goods and supply of raw materials
  • Work within the organisation’s Health and Safety guidelines to keep work area and equipment clean, safe and well maintained.

Hours Available

6.00 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday (Friday and Saturday would be optional overtime)

8.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday (Saturday would be optional overtime)

Laboratory - technician - high peak

Location: High Peak, SK22 1AH

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Overtime: Any hours over 40 paid at time and a half.

Job Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, as part of the development and Quality Control team, you will be expected to assist and manage short and long-term technical development projects, using your skills in colour matching and formulation development. Use of extrusion, open milling and injection moulding equipment to meet both customer and internal project deadlines.

Person Specification

A highly self-motivated individual with proven hands-on experience in a plastics and/or rubber technology laboratory environment and educated with a science qualification preferably; the successful candidate will be a trained colourist. Equally as important is a good understanding of open polymer processing so that you can work well as part of the technical team.

A positive attitude to problem solving and finding workable solutions to customer issues with a keen eye for detail and quality control experience are a must in this very successful business.

Hours Available

8.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday (Saturday would be optional overtime)
